Boogie or Surfboards?

Just had a few days of sunshine, so "seized the day" and headed down to some as yet undiscovered by me local-ish beaches. Took some boogie boards as I had my son and daughter with me. Noticed the waves were looking good, about 3ft so ran in with the boogie boards (not foam cheapies, but surf shop mid range quality items) , it was great!, the kids loved it, the waves were wild-ish and we felt at one with nature and its elements.....Shame about the shed loads of jellyfish that were coming in with the tide, but we only noticed those towards the end of our session, just as well we had our shorty wetsuits on!, it was pretty gross to see these slimy creatures littering the sand too!, still we had a great day despite the creepy, slimy floating blobs. Did try a 6 ft 2 surfboard but in these waves the boogie boards rocked, way to go!!!

Don't you just love spending ages surfing through youtube, checking out the videos?, I've been back a few times to view ones again and find I either can't find them or they have been deleted, doh!, then I tried to download them but couldn't do it the normal way.

No problem, I tried copying and pasting url's into some special websites which allow you to download them once you've been through a right palava of technorati, I soon became sick of that, and started looking for a great program to download youtube videos so I tried a few software downloads which really kicked a**!, my favourite ones being youtube robot and youtube download studio, in the end I bought youtube download studio as I can easily download and convert my files to AVI or MPEGS, now I have a great collection!!

April's springing into the Sun!!!

Its getting to the end of April and thank goodness for some sunny hot weather, people out in the parks, surfers rushing to the sea, kids going beserk, and people starting to jet off on their hols. I thought spring was my favourite time of year, but after a bit of thought, it seems that summer is pretty great if depressing for some strange reason, autumn is cool because of the inevitable change into the winter with its vibrant colours, and winter is great too because its xmas party time!!!
The only crap season then seems to be winter from january to april.....

February Sales!

Having splurged in the January sales, I feel like a bit of extra spending as I try to get through the freezing February to get into the Spring!, pass me the daylight lamp, fast...

Free Gifts and Special Offers while buying Christmas Presents!

Its that time of year again, rushing around like mad buying christmas presents for the family. If I'm early enough I buy presents online from Ebay or Amazon which I always spend far to long surfing as it has loads of "special" pages hidden for you to find. But one I found recently was the free gifts and special offers page which showcases products that offer gift certificates with purchases, like earning $15 for every $50 order!, nice, killing two birds with one stone. Of course you end up surfing so much you just end up buying something for yourself as a treat...ho hum...
Anyway the online stuffs ordered now so I just need to do some real mall attacks to get a real feel for christmas...cards, wrapping, xmas lights, drink, chocolates, yum, yum...

Surfing lesson!

I had a surfing lesson on the weekend!, I booked a lesson with a friend for £25 each and spent all morning on the beach and in the sea learning to surf. Very hard to do, but by the end I managed to stand up, what a buzz!, now I'm going to get a board!, just got to learn about the weather and tides now, boring.
